Japan Airlines and Austin Festival Express, and Austin-Oita Sister City Committee - AOSCC Austin Oita Japan present an evening of fantastic music! The project is called Supergroup. Musicians traveling and performing together on their way to international cities. In collaboration with Project ATX6, this effort will help us continue to expand our reach in sharing Austin music with the world.

Li'l Cap'n Travis 10p
via the Austin Chronicle:
Named after the son of a redneck who used to rent party barges at a onetime job of drummer Mandon Maloney, Austin's Li’l Cap’n Travis mixes and matches seemingly disconnected genres into an unimaginable yet highly listenable whole. Their sound is Americana at it’s purest, from Brian Wilson and Jimmy Webb to the Flaming Lips and Wilco.

Ethan Azarian Music 9p
Ethan Azarian was co-founder of Hollywood Indians and the Orange Mothers circa 1980s & 1990s. Ethan now plays as Ethan Azarian (and The Kids Don't Know) with Jeff Johnston and Justin Sherburn.

Little Mazarn 8p
The Little Mazarn is an unromantic river in Central Arkansas. It is also the stage monnikor of Lindsey Verrill. When she was 14 years old she received a banjo as a gift and started playing Tom Petty songs on it. This was mostly a secret endeavor while she played bass in bands, and cello and tuba in school. A native Texan, she eventually found her way to Austin and fell into a magical group of friends and collaborators called the Annie Street Arts Collective. In 2014, the landlords on Annie Street finally realized what they really could be getting in rent and the collective was scattered across the city. Lindsey found herself in a little cabin near Manchaca, Texas and picked the banjo back up and started writing songs about precious things, boring things, nature, and the garbage that is humanity. That is what became Little Mazarn.

We're looking forward to this night. Big time.
